The Karnataka State Government has decided to spend Rs 6 crore to implement an action plan to eradicate child labour, Labour Commissioner Sanjeev Kumar said here on Tuesday. The plan is aimed at making the State child labour-free by 2006, he stressed. Speaking at the valedictory function of the State-level preparatory meet, for a national event in Mysore on March 5-7, Kumar said, "Child labour is a complicated issue and the Government will initiate measures to eradicate it."
