The Andhra Pradesh State government had bagged a Rs 600 crore World Bank aid for taking up "Community Forest Management" programme in over 80 lakh hectare of forest land. The decision which is considered to be "significant" for improving the "depleting" forest cover was communicated about three days back to the State government.The "pre-appraisal project work" for the programme will be undertaken in August this year, followed by the actual appraisal in September and the grounding of work in December.
