Rs 625 cr allocated to 26 districts for generating employment

Minister for Panchayats and Rural Development and Social Justice Gopal Bhargava said that Rs 625 crore has been allocated to 26 districts of the State for providing employment. He said that so far, savings accounts of over 66 lakh job card holders have been opened in banks and post offices. Bhargava further said that funds to the tune of Rs 625 crore have been released for works under National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS) to 26 districts. Out of these districts, Barwani and Singrauli have been allocated Rs 60 crore each followed by Rs 50 crore to Balaghat, Rs 40 crore to Dindori, Rs 40 crore to Anuppur, Rs 40 crore to Shahdol, Rs 40 crore to Alirajpur, Rs 40 crore to Mandla, Rs 30 crore to Satna, Rs 30 crore to Panna, Rs 30 crore to Rajgarh, Rs 20 crore to Dhar, Rs 20 crore to Sagar, Rs 20 crore to Jhabua, Rs 15 crore to Umaria, Rs 15 crore to Katni, Rs 15 crore to Betul, Rs 15 crore to Damoh, Rs 10 crore to Morena and Rs 5 crore each has been allocated to Khandwa, Rewa, Indore, Sehore, Ashok Nagar, Seoni and Gwalior.
