The World Bank has sanctioned Rs 700 crore loan to Karnataka for taking up watershed management projects in the State, according to Agriculture Minister B T Jayachandra. The Minister who inspected watershed projects in Kudligi taluk said the Government would make every effort to ensure that the soil quality is improved so that farmers can get better yield.
