Government has initiated a number of steps to provide official accommodation to various Primary Health Centers, Sub Centers Ayurvadic and allopathic dispensaries of Reasi district which are not housed in government buildings so that better medicare facilities are rendered to the rural people at their doorsteps. For the current financial year 2008-09, against a financial target of Rs.954.82 lakh, construction of one PHC at Panassa would be completed while more Primary Health Centers Ayurvedic Dispensaries and sub centers shall be taken up by utilizing the loan component. Disclosing this at Reasi today, the District Development Commissioner Reasi Sanjeev Verma said that against a revised allocation of Rs.290.69 lakh during the last financial year, funds worth Rs.90.83 lakh were available for utilization and hundred percent expenditure was registered.
