An official review of the ongoing Rs 60000 crore rural road connectivity project shows that the performance of some states is not up to the mark. The review notes that since the launch of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSYA) in December 2000, a sum of Rs 7553.77 crroe had been approved by the Centre for road works in all the 28 states and six Union territories.
