Undi, Aug. 29: Nirmal Grama Puraskar team appreciated the maintenance of sanitation in rural areas. The team comprising sanitation co-ordinator A. Shanmugam and arasampatti village panchayat sarpanch S. Chinakarpan from Kudikotti district from Tamil Nadu inspected the Pedapulleru village of this mandal on Friday. The inspected the community toilets, protection drinking water scheme and maintenance of sanitation in primary school and appreciated for proper maintenance. They also felt happy over the computer education being provided at primary school stage to the children with the support from a non-governmental organisation. Later speaking to reporters, the team members said that the rural areas in Andhra Pradesh were developed than villages in Tamil Nadu. The Nirmal Grama Puraskar team said that the children in primary schools were having the government arranged television sets in Tamil Nadu while in Andhra Pradesh, the children were having computers.
