Puducherry has invited entrepreneurs from Saudi Arabia to set up water desalination plants in the Union territory. According to its education minister, entrepreneurs, who are experts in desalination projects, will visit Puducherry soon. "I held discussions with Saudi Arabian entrepreneurs, who evinced interest in visiting the Union territory,' the minister told reporters here. The minister said the team would also study the government's proposal for recycling sewage water. Recycled water could be used for irrigation, washing and other purposes, he said, adding manure could be produced from the silt formed during the recycling process.
