The Supreme Court appointed the District Magistrate of Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh as Commissioner of the Court and Receiver for 500 illegal mining sites. These sites are operated by retired IAS officer Manavender Bahadur Singh on the state's border with Madhya Pradesh.
