SC audit on cleaning Yamuna upsets govt

Rattled by apex court committee's revelation that the water quality of Yamuna has not improved a bit even after spending nearly Rs 100 crore per kilometre stretch of the river, the Delhi government has made no bones of its dislike to further supervision by a court-appointed panel. In an affidavit before Supreme Court (SC) , the Sheila Dikshit government said it is extremely serious in its desire to ensure that pollution in the Yamuna is reduced to a great extent in the next three to five years.
