The Kerala State Government has submitted to the High Court that it would not like to repromulgate the Kerala Forest Ordinance (Vesting and Management of Ecologically Fragile Forest Lands) by ignoring a study conducted by the Forest Department and a Supreme Court Order, and thus offered back in a platter the 9443 hectares of forest land to its previous owners.
