The Supreme Court has issued notices to the Union Government and three others on a public interest litigation(PIL) seeking a direction to take immediate steps to insulate the people living in the vicinity of the Jaduguda uranium ore mines in Singhbhum district of Bihar from the hazards of untreated effluents and pollution caused by uranium mining.
