A two-Judge Bench of the Supreme Court comprising Mr Justice D.P. Mohapatra and Mr Justice R.P. Sethi after analyisng the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Land Reforms Act, 1973, today held that the holders of surplus land had no right to felling and removing trees or other forest produce from the forest area even before vesting of the property in the state government.
