Beginning this April, the environment of Agra will witness the precursors of a complete makeover with CNG finally available in Agra. The GAIL-Indian Oil joint venture company, Green Gas Ltd, began dispensing CNG from its first pumping station in Agra, setup at the Inter-State Bus Terminal. Another four CNG stations will also come across the city soon. Though the Agra administration is still wary of shifting the entire public transport system to CNG now, with just one CNG station in the town, over 500 schools have been directed to either buy new CNG buses or convert the existing ones to the pollution-free "green fuel".
