Science Exp wins hearts of all

Science has been a part of our day-to-day life. It developed along with the progress of man. In other words, life of man progressed along with the development of science. Our imaginations were behind every scientific invention. Inventions in different fields will go on for the benefit of mankind. During the last five decades science has taken a giant stride. 25-30 years ago no one would have believed of a device as small as a match box can be used as phone, camera, internet browser, music recorder, music player, video player, video camera, calculator and a lot more - all rolled into one. The progress of science has been exhibited inside the 'Science Express' Train which arrived in the capital on Sunday under its nation-wide tour. Happiness has no bound on the faces of small children when the much awaited 'Science Express' entered the Habibganj Railway Station at 11 am on Sunday. The train being run by the Science & Technology Department of the Central Government is joint effort of the governments of India and Germany. The moment the train halted at the station, the children were so happy and became impatient to go inside it. Bhopal Today was at the railway station at the time of the arrival of the train and talked to some students to know about their views after seeing the Science Express. Bhavesh, Class VI student of Bal Bhavan School said, he had come with his father to the station when he was told about the train. ''I like everything about science,'' he said. ''Today I am very happy that the Science Express has come to Bhopal and we could learn several things about science from the train,'' he said. Anjali Vudhani, a 10th class student said, everybody like to be face to face with science. Knowing about how the particular item was invented, is an interesting thing to learn. Through this Science Express the children would be able to learn a lot of things. 'I have come with my father. I want to see everything inside the train. I'll advise my friends too to come and see the train', she said. Sweekriti Singh is a Class VI student of Central School No 2. She learnt several things about science from the train. ''The scientific items I have seen in TV could be seen with my eyes in reality. Really, it is a very good experience, she said. My parents allowed me to come and see the train,'' she added. Pranav Singh, Class II student said he had come to see the Science Express. Here he could see a large number of scientific items. He is very happy that he could come and see the train. Rishika Roy is a Class IX student of Central School No 3. ''I was waiting for the Science Express since it has started its journey. When I learnt that the train would reach on Sunday, I persuaded my parents to bring me to the train. I have seen all scientific items inside the train and I am so happy, I could not express,'' she added.
