Mr Dipak Chakraborty, chief scientist of state Pollution Control Board, pointed out that climate change is a global threat due to deforestation, increase of green house gases, carbon dioxide and methane gas. Global temperature is also rising due to this climate change. "This drastic climate change across the planet can cause malaria, typhoid, tuberculosis and various other infectious diseases. Global climate change is the cause of drought, floods, vortex and melting of ice. Agricultural production will also be hampered due to this climate change' said Mr Chakraborty. Mr D Raghunandan, an eminent scientist from a New Delhi science forum said: "We should find a global solution for global warming.' He suggested that people can reduce carbon dioxide levels by using public transport instead of using their private vehicles.
