Scientists at the international Advanced research centre for powder metallurgy and new materials have produced a type of highly reactive iron powder which can be used for decontamination ground water as well as river water. They said it could also be used to remove arsenic a deadly poison present in wells in several parts of West Bengal and Bangladesh.
