Chief designers of the Pokhran II tests have maintained that the total yield of the five nuclear tests on 11 and 13 May is around 58 kilo-ton and refuted the doubts raised by a group of Western scientists about the Indian Hydrogen bomb. Top nuclear scientists, including Atomic Energy Commission chairman, Dr Rajgopal Chidambaram and Dhabha Atomic REsearch Centre director Dr Anil Kakodkar, found that scientists are "not bothered" with what the group of western scientists feel about the tests and assued the country that "our yields are correct".
