The country should be able to achieve a production level of at least two million tonnes from fish farming alone by the year 2025. This would be close to 3.9 per cent of the projected world aquaculture production, which is expected to hover around 51.8 m.t., the Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI) has said.
