Shiv Sena activists staged a demonstration opposite the passport office at Worli to protest against the felling of two gulmohar trees. The trees were allegedly cut by a contractor who wanted clearer public view of his hoarding. Ashwin Shetty, whose company had sponsored several trees in the area, including the ones which were chopped, said 'On Monday morning local residents were shocked to see the cut trees'.
