THE Sethusamudram Shipping Canal Project will be implemented through the cordial relationship between the Centre and the state, said State Electricity Minister, Arcot N Veerasami, said today. Speaking at a function as a part of Chief Minister, M Karunanidhi's birthday bash, he said that the existing cordial relationship between the United Progressive Alliance Government and the state government would help implement the project, which would prove beneficial to several southern districts. Chief Minister, M Karunanidhi enjoyed the performance of percussionist Sivamani and several traditional folk artistes for an hour. State Finance Minister K Anbazhagan, Union Shipping and Road Transport Minister T R Baalu, State PWD Minister Duraimurugan and other ministers were present.
