A legal dispute over a tract of land at the Sri Nakharin Dam in Kanchanaburi (Thailand) is expected to be settled today, according to the Land Department chief. Vichien Rattanapirapong said yesterday provincial authorities and agencies concerned would study maps and decide today if the controversial land was part of a protected forest. The Land Department has insisted that the land overlooking the dam's reservoir in Si Sawat district is not part of a forest reserve as claimed by the Forestry Department.
