The illegal acquisition of land in the Tribal Belt and Block areas by encroachers under Jonai sub-division in Dhemaji district of Assam has become a major threat for the bonafide local people. The illegal distribution of land pattas to the non-bonafide people residing under the Tribal Belts and Blocks is a matter of utter dismay, as these people are setting down illegally due to political breaking.
