Timber trade in Madhya Pradesh has received a severe jolt following a ban on felling and transportation of combustible wood in the state. The ban which came into force following a Supreme Court judgement has also taken a debilitating toll on the price of wood which has skyrocketed by Rs 100-150 per quintal.
