SEZ in Hargarh soon: CM

Bhopal, Feb 17: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan laid the foundation stone of new industrial area in village Hargarh in Jabalpur district. On this occasion he said that a proposal has been forwarded to the Union government for establishing a special economic zone (SEZ) at Hargarh. Chief Minister said that the proposal of establishing SEZ at Hargarh has been forwarded to the Union government after completing all the formalities. He informed that the work on the SEZ would be started as soon as approval is received from the Union government. SEZ would lead to golden development of the area and it would also provide greater job opportunities to youths. After receiving approval from the Centre RS 158 crore minerals-based SEZ would be set up in 250 acres of land at Hargarh village which is rich in mineral resources. Through this SEZ exports to the tune of Rs 2131 crore 61 lakh is expected to the made between 2011 and 2015. During this period, 70 thousand people would get direct and indirect employment opportunities. 630.50 acres of land is available for industrial use in Hargarh. RS 158 core 10-lakh investment is proposed for setting up of SEZ. Now the new industrial area would be established in 125 acres of land in Hargarh and Rs one crore 68 lakh infrastructure works would be undertaken here for providing basic amenities. Works of road, water and electricity would be completed within three months. People hail Chief Minister When Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan posed the question to massive gathering at the stone laying site whether the present government has undertaken development works in this area not, the people not only verified the fact but also welcome the Chief Minister with thundering applause. When the Chief Minster asked the people about roads and electricity they replied in unison that that condition is far better than before and is still improving day by day.
