PPL Therapeutics, the British biopharmaceutical company that helped to clone Dolly the sheep, on Wednesday announced the birth of two transgenic sheep with a targeted gene. The two lambs, Cupid and Diana, carry a gene that was inserted using a new technique called gene targeting which replaces one gene with another.
