The Delhi Chief Minister, Sheila Dikhsit, today pledged to make Delhi a world class city-state with better roads, uninterrupted power and water supply.A modern global city was the immediate agenda of the government and subsequent upscaling of infrastructure was the top-most priority, she said, addressing schoolchildren at the Chattrasaal Stadium after unfurling the national flag on the occasion of the 58th Independence Day.The troika of power, water and transport services was a crucial element in determining the quality of the life of the citizens and the government would keep its focus on these key areas, Dikshit added. She appealed to the children to take up the task of conserving water and power.
