Six-party nuclear talks from July 26

The fourth round of the six-party talks on the nuclear issue of the Korean Peninsula will start in Beijing on July 26, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Kong Quan here on Tuesday. The decision was made through consultations with all parties, Mr. Kong said. The talks involve China, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Russia and the U.S.The first round was launched in Beijing on Aug. 27, 2003. But after the third round, the DPRK decided to suspend participation, claiming that the U.S. was pursuing a policy of hostility.
