Work on creating Delhi's very own reserved forest is progressing at a snail's pace after the initial hype and hoopla. For one, though some of the encroachments have been removed, the area is yet to turn green. The Central Public Works Department has not taken up the task of tree plantation. As of now, the mulba of half demolished buildings continue to occupy the site what should have long been greened and barred to the general public.
