In a bid to rid the Capital of slums, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi's (MCD) Slum Department will be introducing multistorey flats for slum-dwellers in the next couple of months. The pilot social housing project was conceived by Union Urban Development Ministry to incorporate as many families in the same area as possible while providing basic infrastructure and civic amenities in a more organised manner.
