The smart city project of the Central government is another anti-farmer action similar to the anti-people Land Acquisition Ordinance, said Central executive committee of peasant’s organization All India Kishan Mazdoor Sabha (AIKMS). Leaders of the AIKMS who had got together for its two day central executive committee meeting in Berhampur, said the present pro-capitalist and anti-farmer policies of Modi government will devastate agriculture leading to rise in food insecurity and unemployment. The AIKMS has planned protest demonstrations in Bhubaneswar in March.
