The Supreme Court's proposal to consider making two and three wheeler scooters conform to Euro I and II emission standards as part of the drive to improve air quality in the National Capital Region (NCR) is laudable. However, by imposing a ban on the common man's vehicle, pollution levels may come down marginally but will leave thousands of commuters stranded without an alterntive.
