Snag in CNG bus, no additions for now

The first bus, running on Compressed Natural Gas, introduced by the Delhi government with much fanfare more than a week ago seems to have run into rough weather. The engine of the CNG bus is believed to be generating excess heat making it difficult for the commuters to travel in it. Delhi transport minister Parvez Hashmir says this may be due to a technical snag in engine and till the time it is rectified no new CNG buses will be introduced in the Capital. What perhaps has made the situation more precarious for the trasport minister is that he introduced the first CNG bus in his own constituency, Okhla. The bus plying on route number 421 operates from Okhla to Tahirpur.
