Social sector gets more in this budget

The Delhi government has promised to spend 59 per cent of this year's budget on education, health, transport and water supply, increasing the allocation by 12 per cent as compared to last year's 47 per cent. The outlay has been fixed for Rs 23,000 crore at 2001-2002 prices. This financial year, 21 per cent of the outlay will be financed form debt as compared to last year's 47 per cent.
