Even as a section of Congress MLAs in Delhi upped the ante against their own United Progressive Alliance Government at the Centre over the issue of sealing of shops in the Capital, Congress president Sonia Gandhi is understood to have taken stock of the situation and issued directions to sort out the issue in an amicable manner and to the satisfaction of all. Highly placed sources said that contrary to the impression among the elected representatives, the Congress president has taken two review meetings on the issue of sealing. It is learnt that both Union Urban Development Minister Jaipal Reddy and his junior Ajay Maken have briefed the party president on the prevailing situation and the steps taken by the Union Government to put an end to the uncertainty prevailing in the Capital.
