Connaught Place, the heart of Delhi, will soon get a facelift as the government on Friday initiated the process of docongesting the area. Besides, congested Bhagirath Palace and Karol Bagh will also get a facelift. Accordingly there will be a complete ban of vehicles beyond a certain point in and around the Connaught Place area. Visitors will be provided bicycles to visit the Inner Circle. Multi-storey parkings will be constructed to avoid traffic congestion. Besides, in the Inner Circle of CP, work is on to construct an underground marvel in the heart of the capital. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation is also ensuring that anyone visiting Connaught Place after September 2005 will relish the beautiful contrast of a state-of-the-art metro station at the core of British architectural legacy.
