The Union Minister for Environment and Forests, Prof. Saifuddin Soz, today solicited support from non-governmental organisations and governments of developed countries for strengthening the ongoing conservation efforts in the country. Stating that India was not sparing any effort to prevent and control poaching and illegal trade of wildlife products, Prof. Soz, however, cautioned that "human greed can always devise ingenious methods for poaching and smuggling products from endangered species of wild fauna owing to flourishing markets which exist across the border and in the developed world."Pro. Soz was speaking at the Third General Assembly of the Asian Conservation Alliance (ACA) hosted by the Wildlife Protection Society of India.
