Special enforcement drive would be started against all commercial vehicles for checking documents related to CNG, registration certificates, pollution among others
Delhi transport minister Arvinder Singh Lovely on Monday stated that special enforcement drive would be started against all commercial vehicles for checking documents related to CNG, registration certificates, pollution among others.
About a dozen mobile teams from the enforcement wing of the transport department would be deputed for this purpose.
The decision has been taken in a meeting regarding leakage and installation of CNG kit from authorised dealers.
Mr Arvinder Singh Lovely stated that notices have been issued against 1,900 commercial vehicles, including about 500 Blueline buses, who failed to get CNG leakage proof certificate from authorised CNG leakage checking centres.
"They would have to produce CNG leakage proof certificate by December, 18, otherwise permit of these commercial vehicles might be cancelled. The last date for booking of CNG conversion would now be December 31 for light commercial vehicles. The permits of the non-converted LMVs would be cancelled after this date," added the minister.
