More than 5,200 beneficiaries falling under the command area of Sardar Sarovar Project were handed over management of the irrigation system and water distribution at Dabhoi taluka in Vadodara district of Gujarat. At a farmers rally at Dabhoi in Vadodara district, the first lot of developed command area villages were handed over to 35 water users' associations (WUAs) formed by the beneficiaries, who shall manage the distribution of the water from the minor and sub-minor channels of the SSP.
