The Narmada Bachao Andolan (NBA) won a minor victory when the Maharashtra governmetn agreed to their long-pending demands and decided to form two fact-finding committees on the issue, one to look into the rehabilitation aspect and the other to review the projected benefits accruing to Maharashtra from the Sardar Sarovar Project.
