In a major policy statement in the Gujarat assembly during the debate on the Governor's address, Narmada and major irrigation projects minister Jainarayan Vyas declared on Gandhinagar Tuesday that the controversial Narmada pipelines project, costing anywhere between Rs 1,000 crore to 1,200 crore, might be dropped for the second time in the state's history.
