A number of NGOs, agriculture, labour unions, voluntary organisations and Vana Samrakshan Samitis from Andhra Pradesh held a meeting to discuss the move by the state government to privatise forests in Andhra Pradesh. They formed a forum against privatisation of forests and demanded the government to scrap the GO 112, which encourages private ownership of forests.
