Ahead of the UN special session on children next month, the report "We the Children" finds that the condition of children across the World is dismal despite Governments agreeing to specific goals on the development of children at the World Summit on Children in 1990. The report provides a detailed look at the progress made for children's well being and is backed by data from 150 countries. The report shows that the disparities and pervasive poverty of today were directly related to under-investment in young people, especially in health, education and protection.
