The units engaged in stone curshing business in Haryana are passing through a very hard time these days primarily because of brunt of taxation under the Haryana General Sales Tax Act, 1973 and the extreme harassment being caused by the authorities of the Haryana State Pollution Board to this class of industry. More than 20 units have been closed in the recent past and several other units are bound to disappear from the industrial map of the state if immediate measures are not taken by the state government to ensure their sustainability.
