Sometimes one gets the feeling that it it weren't for Public Interest Litigation (PIL), nothing good would ever happen in India. And if it weren't for Dr Sandeep Rane's recent PIL in the Bombay High Court (high lighting the alarming levels of vehicular pollution in the city), the decision to strictly regulate and control vehicular emission norms wouldn't have come about. The high court has constituted a committee to make recommendations to curb pollution.
