Union Minister for coal and mines Uma Bharati on Wednesday stressed the need to strengthen earth sciences to meet the climate change challenge at the inaugural ceremony of the 3-day-long Fourth South Asia Geological Congress in the Capital. Addressing the climate change challenge, Ms Bharati said, "The issues of global warming and sea-level rise endanger several coastal cites. Thus, there is a need to find a scientific solution to these problems."
