Office of the Executive Engineer, Works Division XXI (PHE), PWD, Fatorda has invited applications from the residents of Vasco at the localities wherever sewerage network is provided to avail the facility to get connected to the sewerage system under the "Subsidized Sewerage Connection Scheme'. Under the scheme the sewer connection will be extended up to the consumer's Septic tank departmentally at the subscribed rates i.e. for individual house Rs 3000 each for Group Houses; Multiple housing units (more than one house) Flats/Apartments Rs 2000 per each Flat/house. Shops with toilets Water Connections (in apartment) Rs.1, 000 per each. The applications in the prescribed form shall be submitted to the Assistant Engineer, Sub Div II, Works Div XXI (PHE), PWD, Baina, and Vasco-da-Gama on or before July 31. The release of connection shall be subject to the technical feasibility and in phased manner as per the order of priority decided by the Department. The cost of connection charges worked out based on the above mentioned subsidized rates by way of Demand Draft in favour of Executive Engineer, Works Div, XXI, PWD, Margao should be paid before the release of respective connection. The above facility will be availed only to those who are applying up to July 31. Public may note that as per the recent amendments to the Public Health Act, the sewer connections compulsory. As an incentive to the residents, the existing sewerage charges of 50% of the water bill are now reduced to 25%.
