Kolkata Oct. 7: The post-mortem report of the Royal Bengal Tiger, whose body was found floating in a canal at the core area of Sundarbans on Monday evening, revealed that the big cat was killed. Preliminary post-mortem report claims that the tiger had died due to bullet injuries. State forest department officials suspect that a deer poacher might be behind this incident. State forest minister Ananta Roy had asked the state CID to investigate the case. Official sources revealed that a group of tourists, who were going from Sojnekhali towards Dobanki on a boat first spotted the tiger in river Vidya. At first they were scared. But soonafter, a closer look revealed that the tiger was dead. Once they reached Dobanki, they informed the forest department officials about the tiger.
