Environment and Forests Minister Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury said the Bangladesh government is determined to develop the Sundarbans by protecting and preserving its flora and fauna. At the first meeting of thed Sundarban Stewardship Commission, the minister regretted that the world's largest mangrove forest and its plants and animals are on the wane due to lack of planned development activities.
