Silom (Thailand) traders and office workers yesterday voiced support for the city administration's plan to bar exhaust-belching vehicles from entering the road starting March 1. They said the campaign would relieve traffic congestion and reduce air pollution. The city plans to set up a checkpoint during 1-3 p.m. to prevent polluting vehicles and those without passengers from using the road.
